By request. I wasn't really ready to do this, and I know the melody is pretty much my own smile but toward the end of the night last night I did it. My audience, all four of them, seemed to like it.
I can relate to the words very well.

Great job Don. You sure sound like you are living that, as we all shall someday.

Excellent Don! Liked the harmony on the chorus.

The older you get, the better you get, just like an old violin.

Thanks guys, you are very kind! Tonight I raised it from C to F and used a slightly different style. That way I could do it a little closer to the original as far as the vocal range.
I THINK it was better, but I haven't listened to the recording yet.

C to F is a major jump. Post it if you get the chance. You do a very nice job on this song.
God Bless,
Don

Changing to F lets me sing the melody more correctly. Couldn't reach the high notes in C.

I was thinking the same thing as Don (Korg80), but then your post led me to believe you changed the key DOWN to F, not up ... wink
Can't wait to hear the 'F' version because I really liked the 'C' version ... I really enjoy the way you don't absolutely stick to the original melody ... you just sing the song the way you feel it and make it work ...
you are a great 'listen' ...
