There will be a new KETRON workshop in Orlando FL on Friday September 18th, 2015 from 10am- 3am.
Details to follow shortly.
Thanks,
AJ, Timing is everything I'll be in the Orlando about 10 days after the workshop, I missed your workshop at Frank's Audio Works back in January because I was in the Orlando area
These workshops are so important to owners of Ketron. I think that this is an exceptional effort on Ketron to show people they really care. I am looking forward to the workshop and the new manual that is supposed to make operating the SD 7 much easier. Thanks AJ Lloyd
Your gonna have a great time at the workshop I've been to many ....and let me tell you AJ does an outstanding job at these events. Ask questions, take videos & pics and most of all have a GREAT TIME!!
Why couldn't it be a Sunday? Friday is a hard day to get off, or at least make it later in the day like 6 or 7 pm, I will try as much as possible to come.

Probably the VFW isn't available on weekends when they rent it out for private parties that brings in much more money then a workshop. Alot of work goes into putting on these workshops also with traveling to & fro, transporting keyboards and all kinds of gear also to the show,.... AJ is to be commended for helping and showing off Ketron products all over the world.
Hey, we have a workshop going so guess we should be thankful that theres a workshop at all. I am retired and only play t home so i'm free to go ! Lloyd

We will also have a YAMAHA TYROS 5 connected to a Midjay PRO.
Come and see how this combination gives you the best of both worlds ... YAMAHA lead sounds many appreciate and have grown to love, KETRON Live STYLES many respect and are becoming addicted to ... all controlled and played from the YAMAHA TYROS 5 (or it could be your keyboard)!!
The MIDJAY PRO can be customized for your needs ... for you!

Thanks,
Any of you attending are in for a treat with the T5 Midjay pro combo. AJ used that same combination set up at Gary's arranger jam in July of 2014, very impressive sound.

We 'may' also have a Korg Pa-4X (still to be confirmed pending transit from Italy). If ok, we will be showing how you can use the Midjay Pro either with the Yamaha Tyros 5 or Korg Pa 4x to get the best of both worlds!! Come prepared for the 'wow' factor!
For those of you flying in Friday morning, if you need a ride from the airport, kindly let us know in advance so we plan accordingly.
I wanna say thanks! to AJ, although I knew that I would hear top quality sound and styles, I was not disappointed, and heard as expected. Some pics and small video clips from the event. CLICK HERE!

Thanx for the great pictures.....I dont hear any sound on the videos?.......looks like you guys had a nice time ....I know AJ did a good job as always....hope you all came away better informed on Ketron products......what are you thoughts on the SD7 and other models???
I'd like to thank A.J. for putting on a great and informative presentation. The SD7 is an amazing sounding keyboard and has abilities that don't show up in most videos on line.
The guitar player demonstrating the Midjay Pro was also very versatile in his presentation and adept at showing innovative ways of performing with the unit.
All in all a very enlightening experience.
I have been performing on stage full time with the Solton MS50 since 1993 when I bought it new. I had no backup for most of those years. Considering I paid $2200 back then, that still makes the SD7 an excellent value today.
I wonder if you can describe the hookup between the MidJay Pro and T5. What made it work? The way AJ describetd it the T5 was the controller! In the past I've never had much luck using T5 as a controller! It does not have a MIDI Thru
Is there anything unique abt the setup? or something you could share?
I currently have T5 and SD7 and have considered trading for MidJay Pro.
I would appreciate your input.
Many Thanks!
Don P

A.J. never had the Midjay midied to the Tyros 5 due to time constraints.
He had a guest guitar player playing through the Midjaypro. He was triggering chord changes using a midi guitar and the full keyboard chord recognition mode. No bass pedals. Have never seen that before.

Don,
The trick is in the Tyros 5 Midi set up.
On the TYROS 5, * Go to Function * Go to MIDI Transmit and set LEFT = 2 but ... you must (on the panel) turn on the LEFT voice but lower it's volume to 0 so you do not hear it but it still triggers the SD7/Midjay Pro! * Set Right1= 1
If you want to get fancy (as we did in the Detroit workshop), turn on the TYROS 5 Midi clock (ext=on) and on the SD7/Midjay Pro, turn off Internal Mid Clock.
Make sure you go through the other TYROS 5 Midi Transmit channels and turn off anything transmitting on Channel 2!
This gives you tempo control from the TYROS 5 and now, you can also trigger the Multi Pads of the Tyros 5 and they will be in sync with the SD7/Midjay Pro's styles!
