Dear yanuar-n,

I searched and looked over all my manuals and the oldest that I found is for SX-KN720, 920 and 1500.

I do hope that one of us here will strike the jackpot for you soon.

Do you find the green screen of KN1000 hard to read at times?

Khai

thanks for your effort khai,

basically i have just 'moved' from yamaha psr series to technics sx-kn .. so i haven't explored too much. that's why i need the manual (i bought second hand, fully working but no manual).

the green screen in my keyboard seems to have no problem up to date. i don't know if it has precedented problems. i am not aware of them.

cheers,
y

Dear yanuar-n,

As to your question regarding expression pedal for KN1000, I am no expert here.

Could you possibly borrow an expression pedal to try it on your KN1000?

The manual for KN1000 is very hard to find, unless there
is another user who have it that can scan it or copy it.
A mail to Panasonic/Technics might be a solution.

About the expression pedal, the answer is YES, you can.
The model are (if I remember it correctly) Technics SZ-E1,
but you'll probably find others who works as well.

Happy playing

Dear yanuar-n,

It would be very interesting if you could explain why you "'moved' from yamaha psr series to technics sx-kn".

Also, may I suppose that the models that you just 'moved' to is KN2600 and KN1000?

hello khai,

the main reason why i 'moved' from psr to sxkn (yes, 2600 and 1000) is simply the technicality in MIDI programming. i'm by no means a keyboardist (in fact, i'm an organist, playing real pipe orgel, not "drawbar organ" function in the keyboards .. :-) ...), but an ICT system analyst, in particular interest: MIDI.

i am conducting experiment in MIDI and trying to explore capabilities of technics currently. i think, our research team has done with psr MIDI programming.

btw: by saying "programming", what i mean is a true computer/algorithm-controlled programming (including producing new sounds, etc), not keyboard programming, sequencing, as people usually do.

sorry if this frank answer disappoints you, as a keyboardist.

cheers,
y

Dear yanuar-n,

I just found copies of manuals for SX-KN600/SX-KN800, but they are obviously of no use to you.

That's it, I think, unless there are places that I haven't looked up yet.

Dear yanuar-n,

I am not at all disappointed because I also play the organ (as well as the keyboard and digital ensemble). Check out the topic entitled "Reflecting on the Past, Future & Capability of Keyboards, Organs & Digital Ensembles". I truly believe that the forum will benefit a great deal not just from your views and expertise but also your unique insights into some of the issues.

I look forward to your participation in that topic, and to the chance of being enlightened and sharing ideas.

Khai

Try here for the KN1000 Manual - it is listed .......
http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/Epartr/PartslistChoice.asp?
Make sure you enter SX-KN1000
I believe this is a USA website so prices are probably in $US - although it doesn't say......
