In case anyone is interested. Had a chance to sell the PA3X for what I paid for it, so decided not to pass it up. And he's getting a great deal at that.

Don...Sounds Great. The horns and sax ensembles along with the drums make it sound like a live band.

I think you sound better with the 970 than the Korgs...even though you sound great with both. I just think the 970 sounds more like a live full band.

Maybe that's why Bobby is dead, he modulated too much.
I loved just about everything he did, including a couple of his wives.
I try to do Beyond the Sea, but it's too hard.

I recorded it about 10 yrs ago,....on my ancient laptop gear.. if I remember singing & playing some kind of KB Piano comp and some other different tracks over a SMF I customized.....so long ago.

The audio drum styles do sound live. On the midi styles I find myself switching most drum kits to one of the LIVE kits. That helps a lot.
Some of the bass lines are boring, or at best very predictable, but there are some better ones too.
I appreciate the help. I like it well enough to play it for a while for sure. I will be tempted by PA4X, when they finally get it right, but will try to be strong!
As we've discussed, it doesn't make a bit of difference to the audiences, unless there are some arranger players there, and I'm the only serious one within 150 miles!

Yes I always modulate a couple of times in Cab Driver. Thursday I will modulate the puke out of Mack the Knife!

Good idea on key modulations during tunes. Keeps listener interest up. Our combo modulates a lot on songs with multiple verses/choruses. One that comes to mind is The Summer Wind.

I do on Summer Wind too. I change from D to F on last verse of Can't Help Falling In Love, but only if I'm FEELING it.

I Walk The Line changes keys on every verse. You have to be careful to start in the right one or you will run out of vocal range.
