With a brother, who is an accomplished pianist, I've always wanted to take a shot at playing piano. At age 66 don't want to wait years more. Sweetwater gave me a great price. Seems the DGX650 doesn't have completely a piano feel but a friend, who made his living playing piano, says "Close enough".

My wife, a piano player, will give me lessons.

No plans, at this time, to use the DGX650 for gigs...though it does have very basic arranger capabilities.

If the piano thing doesn't work out for me, several of my immediate and extended family would like keyboard.

If the piano thing does work and I have all kinds of $$$ to blow, maybe a Clavinova?
