Unfortunately, I cannot speake German, though I wish I could so I could understand what Peter was saying durig the demo. He is so incredibly talented that every time I watch one of these I think I should immediately put my keyboards on Ebay or donate them to the Artificial Reef Program. The Bose system he was using is the L1 Mod-II, which is absolutely incredible sounding, even in the largest of venues. When I had the older version, the PAS, I was utterly amazed at the size of the venues it easily handled, both indoors and outdoors. Now, before someone comes in with comments about all the components they would have to haul around, take a good look at any conventional sound system, which always includes speaker stands, etc..., and the subsequent setup time. Bose, IMO, beats them in all categories. Donny, find this one in English, please. I would love to watch it again. Gary

Really bad sounding final edit. The guy's GREAT. but the bass in the mix is almost non-existent.
I just don't like ANYTHING Bose sells.
YouTube mixes are tricky, because you have to guess at what will be optimum for reproduction on a wide variety of players; most, not very good.
My company would surely have remixed this one. After all, it is supposed to be used to sell musical equipment, and thus, should be produced to a higher standard than normal marketing promotion pieces.
JMO., but I make a good part of my living doing these kinds of productions.
R.
Don't much like the arranger programming either, but that's another story. It's a Yamaha. I find them to sound pretty "middle of the road", more appropriate for home use than anything else....way more compression than you'd hear live.

I guess everyone has their preferences. I just don't like ANYTHING Bose makes!
In fact, I have a friend; a really good single guitarist. I refuse to play with him unless he uses something....ANYTHING but Bose PA.
No mid's a big problem, and mono when you're using a stereo keyboard sucks.
Lot's of folks use Bose here. Have at it; it's just not for me.
I use Hendrickson jazz guitar amplifiers and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amps for fusion, D'Angelico and other large Gibson guitars for traditional jazz, and George Benson Ibanez or 335, 345, 355's for Fusion.
I'm happy with Yamaha and Korg electronic pianos, Yamaha and Carvin PA and Nord keyboards.
I go top shelf, but don't like and won't use Bose...even a radio at home is a no-no.
But, that's just me. Play whatever "rocks your boat".

Tony, other than you, I'm the oldest guy on the forum. Holy crap! Yeah, yeah, yeah, Donny. That's the same story I told Carol. Guess what? She was right! Gary

Donny, no one on this forum talks about age more than you, however, most of the time you are talking about how keyboard manufacturers and players should cater to younger audiences. Then you post photos of your jobs and no one is under 70 years of age. As for enjoying life to the fullest, I've always done that. Now, being semi retired, I'm doing it more than ever. Ray, I don't play golf (cow pasture pool) - you must be thinking of DonM or TonyM, as both are old duffers. Glad to see there is at least one Zone member that is older than me, though. All the best, Gary

I had a Christmas party last night with all ages. Played Christmas music for an hour, than ramped it up a little, ended last half hour with music the "kids" could dance to, although not what is considered "dance" music They danced to Mustang Sally (and sung along), Taking Care of Business, La Grange, Boom Boom Boom Boom, Tush, Sharp Dressed Man, etc. Regardless of where you play, those same seven girls show up and want to "dance"! I only cater to them after the regular people leave or are worn out. If I were 25 years younger and trying to make a living I'd have to play a lot of different things than what I do now. Don't have to though!!

Don, those gals showed up in the Florida Keys during Spring Break, and they danced and sang to the same tunes there. Ironically, the requests from those young ladies were mainly older stuff, they loved anything Sinatra, sang along to Mustang Sally, anything by Jimmy Buffett was fine (sorry Russ), and danced to all the 60s, 70s country and rock songs. Now, I must admit, I played for the ladies, and they were the ones putting the bigger bills in the tip pitcher (I use a beer pitcher - it holds more!). The guys could care less about the music. They were there to get plastered and get laid! Hey, that seemed to be what Spring Break was all about. I don't think there was a Spring Break thing when I was young. Gary

Nah, I already spend too much time in front of the PC. And, four months from now I'll be sailing to Saint Somewhere on the boat, and there's no internet connection at most of the locations unless you want to spend thousands of dollars on satellite service and gear to receive it. Cheers, Gary
