Anyone using an iPad or IOS device with their keyboard? If so, how do you use it or what do you use it for?

Sheet music reader. I use ForScore. I have set it up to send a Midi signal to my Korg Pa900 to select the appropriate Songbook entry which means I can choose a song in ForScore and be ready to play it immediately!

I use the Ipad as a soundmodule. My favorite apps are animoog, sampletank and synthmaster player.

I use UnrealBook for PDF music and lyrics, Karaoke Anywhere for MP3+G vocals. Also, have Sampletank and an organ app for additional voices.

I use my IPAD with DJ2 for DJing and UnRealbook for my lead sheets. Also have the Roland APp for editing on my BK9 Trying to learn how to change registrations on the BK9 to match the leadsheet I call up.

Thanks all. I have ForScore. Haven't used it yet though.

I was hoping to find a way to capture text(lyrics) on my iPad and transfer that text to my PSR or Tyros. Gotta use my computer and flash drive for that.

The apps audiobus and midi bridge turn my ipad in a fullfledged soundsystem, with audio routing and midi routing... Using yamaha music sequencer, korg gadget and many other great sounding instruments as well as creative tools...

Music reader, there is many great apps usable on stage as well as at home..

Most important however are lemur and touchOSC apps, that turn the ipad in a fullfledged controller for kronos, tyros5 but mostly for Macbook running mainstage...

My ipad is the most versatile thing i ever owned, next to being versatile its also rockstable and unbreakable

Bachus, could you describe further how you control your Tyros 5 with your iPad?

You can comtroll everything thats comtrollable over midi...

http://youtu.be/GQCm4W1otR8

This is a nice video, showing many of the programable options, like pads/buttons x/y pads, sliders, knobs... Anything...

Good examples of me using the tyros 5.. Having a midifile and 16 pads that switch tracks on and off... While 4 other pads switch to markers..

Or another setup that creates an x/y pad that controlls two parameters at the same time..

Another thing is setting up a slider that controlls several parameters at the same time...

To be honest, almost all of the things i want to do on the tyros or the kronos can be done from the controll surface of the instruments... However, when playing with mainstage on the mac, i mostly controll it with lemur or TouchOSC from the ipad...

My favorite lemur setup controlls logic on the mac, where it can record 6 tracks... And replay them.. I use these tracks as a chordsequencer.. Having buttons to record and replay these chordsequences, and when replaying them freeing up the left hand for controlling sa2 or kontakt voices..
