Actually I think the S970 is a great little board! Price, weight, most sounds, much improved VH; all good. But, the kicker for me is lack of pedal control. I can't make it work with 2 functions. I could get by with four, but not two!
I knew abt the pedals going in but thought I could work around it. I know there are control knobs and programmable sliders but hard to reach when playing accordion.
Functions I need: Break, VH on/off, Reg UP, Reg DOWN.

You could do the vocal harmony on/off with a simple registration, one button for on, one for off. Very easy, but I would do that with one of the foot pedals. There is already a pair or buttons for registration +/-. So that leaves the second pedal for break. Easy stuff, even for an accordion player. Now, if you use an external harmonizer, then, your problem is solved. I have a couple of Digitech VRs for sale at a very, very good price if you're interested. Gary
