They do - it's called a user manual, however, it requires that you actually take it out of the zip-loc bag and read it, which a significant number of individuals never seem to take the time to do.

Yamaha will wake up to what players want & need one day..instructional Dvds supplied with every Kb, new VH2, updated feature locks, MFD transpose & MFD text font size adjustments, tilt display ......and that plastic bag is so hard to open,.. just sayin' wink

Well, trust me, I HAVE read the owners manuals from front to back, and I've learned a lot more from the videos! There's something about watching someone do it as he explains what he's doing that makes it much clearer, regardless of the brand name on the kb.
I feel it's important to watch them in order, as some procedures are the same, but in a different menu, so they don't re-explain them. Rather, they just refer to the previous portion of the video.

I think both are needed; one for easier cognition for some, and the other for in depth reference.
