...you won that 1.5 billion Powerball jackpot? Me, I'd share it with all the people on Synthzone that love me. Then I'd take the remaining 1.5 billion and.....well, I'd think of something. No 'busty blonds' though, unless it's a Golden Labrador Retriever. I'd fund Capt Russ's favorite charity....oh wait, I already said no busty blonds. Sorry Russ. I would try to get suitable gifts for my fellow 'zoners' though. A TOTL headset for Fran with a built-in metronome; a private spelling/typing coach for Donny; a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse for Russ's guitars; a software app that automatically corrected all grammatical errors in posts BEFORE John read it; a lifetime supply of margarita-flavored throat lozenges for Gary; a best-selling Hip-Hop/Rap album for Uncle Dave; a singing coach for ....gosh, where do I start; earplugs for everyone in every village where Henni plays; a bully pulpit for Taike; a sainthood nomination for Nigel; a gold plated diplomacy award for TonyMads; and finally, for DonM a .......oh hell, I'll just send cash. How about you guys?

Cash is good. smile
I think if I win, I'll go on a spending spree, casinos, loose women, fancy cars, maybe a helicopter, a few trips to exotic places like Atlanta... I'll probably just waste the rest of it.

Thanks .. but if I won, I wouldn't need no stinkin' "gold plated diplomacy award" because everyone would want to be my friend no matter what !!! ... laugh2 ... Seriously, First, I would not want to win the whole thing, as I would not want the 'burden' of distributing that much money ... that being said, I would make sure that both my wife and I are set up with a certain amount of income each month for life, and make arrangements for whatever needs we might have in the future; then I would make certain my kids and grandkids are set as far as housing, education, etc. are concerned, and set up self-sustaining trust funds for them and their heirs; then I would find out what charities have the lowest 'business expense to charitable expenditure ratio' and donate considerably to them ... and then I would buy myself a Pa4x !!! keys ... then i would spend it on doing whatever my wife and I want to do for as long as we could physically do it ...

Only one burning issue comes to mind. I would bribe the Yamaha engineers to put the USB input on the PLAYER side of their keyboards.

If You Win THe POWERBALL..

Don't take the lump sum. You don't want to blow it all in one spot.
If you weren't happy yesterday you won't be happy tomorrow. It's money. It's not happiness.

If you were happy yesterday, you are going to be a lot happier tomorrow. It's money. Life gets easier when you don't have to worry about the bills.

Tell all your friends and relatives no. They will ask. Tell them no. If you are close to them, you already know who needs help and what they need. Feel free to help SOME, but talk to your accountant before you do anything and remember this, no one needs 1 million dollars for anything. No one needs 100,000 for anything. Anyone who asks is not your friend.

You don't become a smart investor when you win the lottery. Don't make investments. You can put it in the bank and live comfortably. Forever. You will sleep a lot better knowing you won’t lose money. wink

As my dear, departed father always said "There's only one thing money can't buy - POVERTY! You can rent all the rest of that $hit!" Dad was pretty damned smart. wink

"pack a suitcase, honey - I just hit powerball!" "WOW! Should I pack them to head north, or south?" "I really don't give a damned which direction you go - just be out of the house by midnight!" wink

$1.5-billion tonight for a single winner, and if no one hits, #2-billion on the next drawing. Holy $hit Red Rider! smile smile smile

Perspective, perspective. All of you will probably live at least a year longer than if you had won (those 'busty blonds' can take a heavy toll). On the other hand, you probably would have died happier smile.

Never bought a lottery ticket...never bet on a horse race (I'm in horse race central)...never played a hand of cards.

Way to busy with all the delicious other vices you can get f***ed up with.

I LOVE IT!

BTW, Chaz, did you send me a message with an attachment recently? I couldn't open it, and when I replied, email was returned.

Looks real when it arrives, and the sender's address is a lot like yours.

Thanks guys for a most enjoyable thread.
We all fantasize about a big win on the lotto.
In Europe, right acrosss the EU zone and beyond we play Euromillions. The pot reaches one hundred million euros frequently and we project ahead as to what we would do /buy if we win. Each one of us almost expects to win and then next day it's back to the
the same old same old next day, and then more dreaming......

No, I didn't. Tony got something similar and I'm starting to wonder if I got hacked. When we googled the hosting site, it turned out to be in France. Not sure what to do or how to proceed, but if anyone has any suggestions, please speak up.

Thanks,

chas

I won $37 the first time I played Lotto - just about had a heart attack when they called the first five numbers and I had them, but the elusive sixth number was not on my ticket. I bought booze with the $37, went home and celebrated with my wife. Oh What A Night. wink

All the best,

Gary cool
