light weight 88 KEY controller with top Roland sounds kind reminds me of
f BK 9 body need to check if it has midi in and outs i am looking for a 88 key keyboard that has good piano and some of the new goodies you can go and get the old school roland sound cards as well kinda cool it would work well with T 5 IT has a different sound the Yamaha and that is good as well

got to see how piano sounds too me that is the deciding factor

battery power as well could come in handy some time and price point at 999.00 pretty cool

does a lot for that price.

I love the pattern sequencer... that would have made the FA-08 series even more complete...

Compared to the next step up, and thats the FA-08, it misses the super natural acoustic sounds, the strong effects section, the 16 parts normal sequencer and some more settings..

The FA-08 (or 06) is the real beast, it leaves every Roland arranger beating in the dust.. it can load all teh soundsets of the Integra 7, has a much better keybed, and can be bought for less then the BK9. Current price is around €1200 for the 88 key..

I think all the latest Roland posts and Revival of the brand by Donny indeed shows what this company can do, yet they dont do it for arrangers right now...

This video shows the Jupiter 80, almost 4 years old now, but yet fierce competition for the new upcomming Montage, they are two pretty much alike instruments, both performance beasts made for live jobs in a band..

I think it's a matter of taste. I know somebody who owns a Tyros 5 and likes the main piano of the Juno DS VERY much.

I agree I did not like the Piano at all very weak i di not sound good to me at all.

I think the other sounds are ok but Piano is sub par at best. i played it and can say the demo on line make it sound good but first hand no go for me I was hoping it was better hell I might of took one home yesterday

no go for me keybed pretty good size and weight good

if you are a first time keyboard guy it would be a great starter unit.

clap nice demo wow that unit is amazing headphone .....love the colors also..watching all this synth stuff makes me think back on why I started playing keyboards in the first place 20 years before my first arranger Kb KORG Sas 20 in 1981 were ever introduced and we had to really create music and play all the parts, sequence, arrange music the way we wanted it to sound.....
I miss that. But I'm slowly getting back to it...
and it's fun to do also.
