Don, that's pretty much the way I set up Bill's system. Problem was, however, that most of his previous registrations had vocal harmony settings checked in the registration memory contents page, so those songs that he used VH for and had saved in registrations had to be changed. Not a big deal, but requires some studio work to get all the registrations where he wants them. And, he will not need to use the Parameter Lock when finished.

All the best,

Gary cool

I was talking about the S970. You don't have to do any of that on the Korg. You can have your full-time settings and change them if you wish with Songbook, and on the next song they will revert back to your Global setting, if you want it to.

No problem, Donny. I'm usually around most days, no jobs to worry about anymore.

NO way can I explain everything Gary did for me...

The solo vocal was cleaned up and sounds a bit better. There's just no way the on board vocal features can match what I'm used to from my bose tonematch and TC Helicon rack unit...

A very productive phone call, for sure...

I figured you were talking about the Yamaha, Don ... and Donny is right - the KORG is SO much easier to do this ... I have some different VH settings for different songs and when I call up a song, whether it is from the Songbook, or a style saved in my 'Favorites', the VH setting I want is there ...

Tony, you can do the same with Yamaha's registrations, just a different approach to achieve the same end results. Seems as if every manufacturer has a different approach to saving song information, none of which are very difficult, but there is a learning curve associated with each technique.

All the best,

Thanks John. If and when I sail through West Palm next October, I'll give you a shout and maybe we can tilt a couple beers on the boat while watching all those young ladies motor down the ICW.
