There is no democracy at the Casio Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Casio.MZ.X/
I posted "still no videos" and after 1 a 2 minutes my message was deleted and when I asked why my new post must be approved by admin. I mentioned this on the Casio forum and guess what , yes also deleted. So I think Nigel was right. The mz x doesn't sound that good otherwise why no promotion video like korg and Yamaha does. Yes there is one video but that doesn't show how the mz x really sound.

I am a member of that group to, have posted a few points of criticisme, and they didnt get removed...

On top of that, its a public group, with no relationship whatso ever to Casio..

Only playing an mzx yourself will tell you if it sounds good or not

Yes but the forum does and my post was also deleted there. If they want to compete with the korg pa 600 and Yamaha per s770 they should at least show us in a video what the mz x500 is capable of.

Just because you saw the Casio Mz x500 prototype at NAMM it could be far off before its really ready to show anyone what it can really sound like in the hands of demonstrators or players, etc,...an extensive Casio style library will be interesting to see also..

There was no prototype. There where several complete products you could even try in a private room. Now that was a few weeks ago and still no video. Look at the montage how many videos there are.

Still they where prototypes, it was posted several times by Mike Martin.

However Casio will release the instrument Next Month, end of March.

Currently some top music people, like Ralf Maten (buddy of Kurt Ader) have a MZ-X prototype at their homes and are creating content for it.

If you would have taken some time and read the facebookgroup you would have known these facts...

Ralph Maten is on tour this week with the mz x500. How can you tour with a product that isn't finished. And yes he told that on the Facebook group so I read my stuff, maby you should read better.

Wow! This is very encouraging. Usually it's only the "Ugly Americans" fighting. smile smile

BTW FransN, I was just about to buy a Casio PX560 until I noticed your posts on the Havian 30. Could you elaborate on your decision to go with the Korg (assuming you did consider the 560). Did you get a chance to compare their piano voices? Thanks,

chas

Frans the only reason yoru posts probably got deleted is because you asked and said the same old thing a hundred others posted before you.. Some forums are overmoderated, which is not allways a bad thing. But tell me, how logical is it to base conclusions on an instrument like the MZx based on Forum moderation?

Anyway, People like Ralph are allways on tour.. And the fact that he is using the prototype of the instrument on stage should tell you enough about the quallity.

Bachus, I use 'fighting' loosely (punctuated by smilies). Sorry if you took it seriously.

Well let's end this discussion. Still if it was a prototype it should't be at Namm at all. But if I listen to it next month and it sound great I will buy one.

Montage was also a prototype..

I think the Namm is a perfect place to show your prototypes of upcomming instruments to the big publicum.. Namm is not a place to sell things, its a place to show new stuff to the people...

Again we totally disagree, please tell me where else they should show of ptototypes of their upcomming instruments, if not at Namm?

Prototypes from all manufactures have been shown at NAMM, Frankfurt and other Music shows for as long as I can remember, (And that’s a long time) so I can’t see what the fuss is about.

Sometimes at NAMM they just show an "EMPTY KB Shell" just to get the BUZZ going to the masses..
