New XMS sound package for Korg instruments. Recently they tried to advertise it on the big German musicians' forum, but users there, especially those from the synth forum, are very analytical and sceptical, so Deebach didn't get very far with their purely marketing statements. Nevertheless, I do like some of their sounds!

The Deebach packages can be installed on Korg keyboards, and they replace the Korg sounds completely. I.e., you cannot install them additionally, but you lose all Korg sounds as long as the Deebach sounds are installed. This has also been criticized in the German forum, they don't offer a solution where you could keep at least a part of the Korg sounds. (Of course you could always restore the original Korg sounds with a reset). EDIT: So, what you hear soundwise is nothing from Korg, all from Deebach. The Korg PA is just a body shell (plus, I'm not sure about that, Korg's style data (definitely without style sounds)). Maybe someone who has used it can explain in how far the Korg styles are integrated into the Deebach soundset...
Thanks for explaining that! I don't like the idea that you lose all of Korg's sounds. Why buy a Korg and then lose the sounds? Unless you get a cheaper Korg, like a Pa300, and replace its sounds with the better Deebach.

Yes, I think it only makes sense for the cheaper ones, but possibly for PA-600 for some people who really want to have those Deebach sounds. I guess there are some who want to have the original Wersi organ sounds. The owner Deebach used to work for Wersi when it still existed as a manufacturer.
.......Why buy a Korg and then lose the sounds?....
Yeah, that's my thoughts about it too. If I buy a PA6 or 900, why should I totally replace the Korg system that made me buy the keyboard in the first place? If Deebach will fit into a older outranged model that I do not use anyway, it could be another story. Maybe this would be grat as a module?

I know, it's just marketing again. Calculating over 10 years and incorporating all kinds of costs, it's quite meaningless. For us the only useful criterion is evaluating the demos with our own ears, and, if possible, testing it right on the instrument (which could be difficult). 499 Euros could be worth it if the package were an add-on to existing sounds, but this complete replacement of Korg sounds is a real issue.
It was first offered as an add-on for existing Korg models but somehow ran counter to the interests of Korg itself and I don't think many were sold. Then they decided to change course and went into a kind of joint venture with the Medeli keyboard company using the hardware of their Medeli A800 model to house this package, at least I presume it is virtually the same packaage. It is now known as the Max Live. Apparently sales did not do well ( if they ever got going at all) and now there is this renewed PA offer. Other than their demos etc. which you can all hear for yourselves I cannot judge their software/sounds but I think it pretty farfetchec that a PA600 owner, let alone a PA3X owner would oust all of his sounds etc. to be replaced by the Deebach package. As mentioned here, if it were an add-on and considerable less expensive it might be a viable proposition, as it stands it is doomed for failure imho. I know those who created this software have gone a long and winding road but it could well turn into a dead end..............

As they say, this is a new version of the sound package. When they presented the Deebach Max a few months ago (the keyboard using the body shell of a Medeli), they also demoed newly developed pianos etc., which are obviously part of the new package. Somebody asked about a module solution on their Facebook page some time ago, they answered they were checking options for a module...
To bad they stopped with the Xanadu Organ.. which was based on pa3x... would love to see some pa4x magic from them, sadly the PA4x expansion memmory is to small for any real huge packages, espescially since they cancelled the compression of the pa3x.
