Funny how so many players love the Tyros 4 better then the newer Tyros 5?


TYros 6 hurry !!

Never say never, but at this time, I would keep my T4 no matter what else I got.

Funny how so many players can not have a clue at all...

Tyros 4 was good, Tyros 5 is heaven, Tyros 6 should be nothing less the godly to succeed..


I can understand people sattisfied with T4, but there really is no comparing to T6, the improved effects section makes evevry part of T5 sound better then T4... On top of that, ensemble voices and organ world ( and in my case 76 keys)

I know a few who bought T5 and returned it...I hope some off them chime in with their reasoning for liking the T4 better...

T6 if at all or whatever Yamaha is going to call it & do on the next TOTL arranger should be interesting but it surly will be a very expensive departure from what we already have in an arranger if they are smart and want to stay with the times and needs of players.

Having heard some direct comparisons of T4 and T5 sounds, I've had the impression that some T5 samples are more detailed and realistic, but occasionally a little more indirect sounding maybe as a result of a resonance included in the sample.
I suspect this is what makes some users come to the false conclusion that T4 sounds 'better'.

The only reason I would swap the T4 for a T5, would be the 76 keys.
The only reason to keep the Yammie for a "Styleuser" as me, is that the trillions of styles to choose from, and that there still are created a lot of new nice stylefiles for the brand.

Miss the "good old" Technics KN5K a lot, Sd1 and G-70 not quite as much.
Would love to try PA4X-76, but hard to find in this country, if any at all.
Even Thomann in Germany say "at request"

I'm sure the T5 is a great machine, but from all the reading, videos I've watched about the T5...

Near as I can tell the Tyros 5 is a Tyros 4 with new software. I haven't been able to find much in the way of hardware or sreuctural( 76 keys excepted)changes between the two.

That's why I didn't upgrade.
