Select style, hold chord, press start style.. And play?

i think Casio is testing the waters with the MZ x500 to see the reaction which may lead to their vision of making a more TOTl arranger/workstation to rival Tyros/Pa4x/Audya/BK9 etc,.....
we'll see soon enough..or it could be a total flop I hope not.

Its in the makes...

It has 88 keys and combines px-5s with The XW synth and the MZ-X, and them some more ...

It will be promoted at the Musik Messe..and in shops around the world this summer..

sounds interesting not that I would ever need a 88 key kb of any type ...but I guess time will tell for Casio if they ever want to regain what they once had in Popularity and be a player again with the top dogs. Also what do you do when you cant find styles you need for specific songs where to get them from, how extensive is casios styles library...or third party makers for that matter?

Actually if i wanted to push a new arranger, i would try to make sure people got ways to convert their favorite user styles from any of the other 4 big brands to my style format... That would be my highest priority..

I wonder how this newer style of playing with audio pads, loops, arps, tracks, styles, etc, is embraced with the traditional arranger kb players as it seems this will be the wave of the future with arrangers...

I wonder how the quality of styles are in the mz x500. Still no demo of that. If they are the same quality as the ones in the ctk 7200 then I will pass.
