I play mostly smaller venues 30 - 50 people. I get plenty of bass from both the SSV.3 and Compact. I don't think I would get just the sound of the sub on the Bose...but also so far haven't needed it

OK, good to hear that there is plenty of bass from the SSV3 for your venunes. It seems that the SSV3 alone can do do the job for me also.
