Does anyone know of a professional grade wireless transmitter/receiver system? I've seen one in Europe a couple of years ago, but I can't find them. I want to feed stereo from my midi accordion to the Spacestation V3.

Thanks, Gary, but wireless audio over Bluetooth can't be used for live performance due to its inherent latency.

I use the Limex wireless system with 2 of my accordions. Limex was out of Austria and I think a German company bought them recently. I also heard that they stopped dealing with the U.S. as a couple of the U.S. distributors stiffed them for significant $'s. John's Accordion store in Canada still installs and services the system - be prepared for sticker shock however.

I've been very pleased with the results from my MUSICTECH wireless system for my acoustic /midi accordion .it transmits and receives and also supplies power for the midi in the actual accordion .Tthe receiver output is connected to the midi in on my expander module . the stereo out of my midi accordion is from the stereo outlets on the expander .
The acoustic side of the accordion is picked up from my sennheiser headband mic and is very effective and also goes thro my expander via the mic input !!!
This set up allows me complete freedom of movement on stage etc and allows me to stroll as well !! with no trailing wires/cables etc

I should have made myself more clear. While I do have an acoustic/midi accordion, here I am referring to my all elecronic accordion. A guitar wireless transmitter will do. It is just that I can't find that stereo tranmitter that I had seen a couple of years ago. It looked like a very professional, robust system. I have two AKG Guitar Bugs, but I do not want to deal with rather large two receivers. I found this http://www.smoothhound-innovations.com/ last year. The manufacurer did a test for me and advised against using two transmitters so cloese to each other. I have no background in electronics and I am wondering if I can use a Smooth Hound didigtal wireless system along with an analog system by AKG for stereo.

By the way, I am familair with all the midi/audio systems for an acoustic accordion. I used to have a midi accordion technician who undid all the proprietary systems. For instace, a Musictech wireless midi system can be as expensive as $2,000. The tecnician would make a small battery pack with an midi output for $200 to $300. Then I can use a better wireles midi system for only $200.

I saw some roland digital accordion demonstrations a few years ago at the Las Vegas accordion Convention and these accordions worked very well with the transmitter hooked up to the audio output of the roland accordion and a small receiver unit sitting on top of a powered speaker , allowing freedom to stroll !
Try asking on the Roland digital accordion forum on Yahoo , I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction !

It all depends what do you want with it. Are you playing left and the right side at the same time?? If you play with a band or a keyboard player and you just use right hand for solo than it really does't matter much. Even if you play left hand bass it wouldn' mattet that much. I mean ,if you want to have separate control for bass and solo that you might as well get something,otherwise it doesn't matter.
