Are you using the 61 or 76 ?

I am not a pianist but tend to play up on the board and drop an octave. Two hundred and a little weight difference.

You might be right, its probably where the PA4x gets deeper then the T5, where the operating becomes more advanced, The Tyros5 is a snorckling instrument, and the PA4x can do that to... but when scubadiving, the PA4x could become a little more confusing..

I also have to come back on my orriginal statement, as i missed the whole collection of instruments Bernie allready hsa, including the S970.... which makes the pa4x only the most naturall choice to make, if he wants another arranger...

I have the 61-note version. If I were not moving it I'd opt for the 76, but I have no problem navigating the 61. You can assign the octave up/down function to foot switch, pedal or button I believe. I will double check that tonight.
The EC5 foot controller is essential to me. I have five functions assigned to it.

I ordered the pa4x 76 with EC-5 pedal from Frank. It will arrive Thursday. Wild anticipation.

Plus one, got my Pa3x in 2012, it's the longest I've owned one arranger, I guess? Also used the Tyros and PSR series since 2007 so that may count.

Bernie, Congratulations on the Pa4x-76!

Bernie, thanks again for the order, All updated and ready for you, you will be very happy. The PA4x i believe is right between the Yamaha and Ketron sound, allows you to get as deep as one can get when programming or operating a arranger keyboard but at the same time well layed out to use without diving into a manual every few seconds

Thanks again for the purchase

Congratulations Bernie,
I cannot see any reasons at all that you should not be happy and love the PA4X, or "Black Beuty" as I call it.
The only drawback most be the "long" wait before you get you hands on it, and that the hours in a day after you finally have it are to short. smile
