Just about to leave for the hospital. Today I do my shoulder surgery. I'll be away from the forum for a while and won't be able to play my keyboards for nearly 2 months - maybe 3. That part really sucks. Anyway - that's life.

Hope everything is fine. As you know, I made the decision to postpone mine. Took a ride on a new motorcycle this week-end and IT HURT!

Your advice will be really important to me.

Be well,

Russ

Good luck, Deane. Try to look upon it as a forced hiatus that'll have a positive end result, both physically and musically.

Were rooting for you to get better soon. Two or three months without being able to play is more pain than the operation!.

Good luck, During recovery you can listen to new songs to learn, think about new equipment, new gigs, etc. Keep yourself busy and get well.

Best of luck Deane. If you cannot feast your eyes on the sounds of your keyboards try and feast your eyes on the nurses if possible smile

John

Deane, know you've been recovering. Really wanting to know you're OK.

We'll take a VERY brief message, pecked out with one finger from the wrong hand...

Just concerned!

Hi Folks,
I am late getting back to everyone. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I have been in PT now for about a month and they tell me it is going great. My only complaint it the pain - it is constant - 24/7 and varies from day to day from being a "pain" to "OMG" . I have pretty good use of my arm but have to be very careful with it and can't lift much of anything yet. I am playing gigs again and my wife is my "roadie". She has gotten pretty good at setting up and tearing down. With her help it is not a problem.

Anyway, It seems to be just another one of those "getting old" things that come along now and then. Frankly, I guess I am pretty lucky because so far none of my health issues are going to kill me. We have a family member who got sick one day about 6 weeks ago. Never been sick a day in his life. Now he is in hospice waiting to die from Acute Leukemia. Wow, all that in just a month! So, things could be worse.

Thanks again to everyone.
Deane

Glad to see your on the mend and have a positive attitude to life. That will do more for you sometimes than some pain killers.

Allan
