Saying nothing of keeping this old guy busy with something he loves instead of withering away in my rocking chair.

One of the greatest gifts I received in this life. My parents supplied the opportunity... My music teachers inspired me to learn on my own... My wife and son all participate in making music everyday. I will enjoy making and listening to music until I am gone from this world!!

Bernie, strange but I understood every word in your post.

Take away music and I wouldn’t have the slightest thought of what to do.

Hey, I LOVE making music, but if you took it away, I'd still go fishing, play golf, chase girls, well...go fishing, play golf at least.

There is a sign on the front bumper of my new Subaru that says,
"MUSIC MATTERS".

Don,

Fishing; I had a Mako 20 foot fishing boat and fished for the greater part of my life.

Play Golf; I live on a Golf course – it does not appeal to me.

Chase girls; ah, nice but I have forgotten what you do with them.

I am a Christian Mentor at my church and play occasionally. Helping people does not get boring--- like music.

John, I live on a golf course too, or at least it was for 60 years until they closed it last year. What a shame, but it's a long story, brought about by one greedy, uncaring person.
I live within a mile of two nice lakes, and very close to several more. I have a 19-foot bass boat with 150 Mercury engine. I do not have to hoist sails like Gary does!

Yeah, but those sails are real quiet, don't consume a drop of gasoline, and the ride is smooooooooth! wink The lake I live near is Chesapeake Bay, 10,000 square miles of open water that leads to a real big pond called the Atlantic Ocean. smile

Gary cool

My 2016 Crosstreck is my 6th Subaru. I switch betw3een it and a 1985 Buick Riviera, a 2007 Toyota truck, a 1956 Harley three wheeler, A Suzuki 650 CC Savage, two old Cushmans, a kit-built bike and a 2015 Sym scooter. Working on restoring a Cushman Eagle. We have two Scion XB's at the office that I use a lot, also.

What a pack rat.
