As I've mentioned many times, I love mine. Great new sound generation source, excellent styles, live sound, wonderful vocal processor/harmonizer, Songbook is great, abundance of real-time controls. There is a problem with the screen. Several users have reported, as well as me, that the lock-down mechanism has failed. It doesn't affect the usability, but is something that should be addressed when it happens. I have an appointment to take mine to Dallas for them to fix it. I think I've read of 3 or 4 others that have the problem, so it's probably quite isolated. It's by far the best arranger I've ever owned. Not perfect, but I probably won't be in the market for another one in this lifetime!

DITTO to what Don said. Sound wise, the Audya is the only board that compares with it(for me). Bernie

Yes the new Korgs are nice ...but everyone is just waiting for the next generation of Yamaha arrangers which should prove to be awesome in many ways!! New Tyros: Possible scenario? Introduced 2018? Available in limited quantities 2019? Bugs worked out and in full production 2020? Priced at $7,000? If I wanted a new arranger and was debating buying the next Tyros vs. Korg PA 4X; don't think I'd wait around for something new from Yamaha. expected scenario : Introduced autumn 2017 Available in large quatities winter 2017/2018 No bugs to be mentioned, after all there where no real bugs in tyros , just minimal hindrancess Price €4200 - €5400 depending on how advanced it is...and if there will be a psr s900 pro series A lot of the new technollogies from the Montage like 2 dsp effects for every sound will find their way into the tyros5 replacement..

didn't you have the speaker bar with the pax3 also and didn't like it too bulky, heavy, etc,... I did have one before, and I tried go use it with my current KB/mic boom rig. The bar places the boom too far back, so I'm going to try a regular boom and see if it annoys me. This thing sounds too good not to give it a proper test drive. It's light years ahead of the PA900 in overall sonic goodness, which I found hard to accept at first. The clarity of the upper and lower ranges is astounding. It's a pretty good case of "I didn't know what I was missing" until I heard it. I have to say, given key feel, sounds, styles, and deep editing ... its the best keyboard I ever played. Maiden voyage tomorrow night at the dueling piano thingee at the shore, then more tweaks on Sunday before taking ig to my main stage at the Crab Trap. I'm stoked ... I really am. If all goes well, the 900 will sit in my studio and be in reserve for the 1 hr afternoon cocktail/NH type gigs. I'll share more as I learn more.
