I wouldn't even care about such a crap. How many members of my church would believe such a nonsense? I guess none. But it certainly comes in handy to suggest church members are generally as naive as that, and scientists who are religious are exactly like this so-called scientists. Maybe you look into the Wikipedia list of scientists again and note that most of them do serious science instead of this fundamentalist pseudo-crap.

It's possible to think about Jesus' ethical message once a week during a service without switching off one's brain and logical thinking.

Can a scientist take the bible literally and still believe that every word in the bible is true? Believe in evolution and in creationism at the same time? That animals talked? What should/shouldn't we take literally? But aren't we than saying that the bible is not to be taken seriously? Isn't that cherry picking?
