The harmonics are what kill me ... Tommy says playing them is as hard as putting toothpaste back in the tube!

Thanks Donny,
Gosh, that takes me back. He's been around forever and so talented.
Used to pop up on tv, he was only a kid. His brother was very talented too.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

So beautiful it almost brings a tear to the eye. Good guy, too. Visited with him on several occasions.

Certainly underscores the value of TALENT in the musical equation. Of course, all the talent in the world doesn't mean much if you aren't willing to put in the work to develop the skills necessary to put it on display. Make sure your Arranger is a TOOL and not a crutch. Just sayin'.

It is indeed refrshing to hear great performance just on an acoustic guitar. This reminds me of a fantastic player Doyle Dykes when I heard him at my friend's church about 10 years ago. He was playing through his signature Rivera amp named after him. About $3,000. Listening to him and his amp were quite an experience. My friend said he had onece a piece of music and asked Doyle to play him and that was when he found out Doyle doesn't read a single note. Yet, his arrangements are amazing.
