California Dreaming: Wow....your voice sounds as strong as ever....not even a clue of any weakness or respiratory problem.

Thanks Eddie. I think what allows me to continue to sing is the headset mic, which doesn't require nearly as much breath power as most hand helds in order to provide quality sound.

All the best,

Thanks Steve. And, if you ever get down this way again, there's an ice cold Margaretta waiting for you on the boat.

All the best,

Thanks, Impuls. For years, many, many people have told me that I sound a lot like Roger Whitaker when I perform this song.

Thanks again, everyone,

Gary cool

Yea, Gary, the chord changes are off. You would use a Dm7 to a G7, instead of an F and a G if you were in C.(and I have loved you dearly, more....) It makes a big difference, and the proper lead note tucks in lots better.

Good choice....strong tone.

Russ

Thanks Russ, I'll give it a try later tonight when I get back from the boat.

Agree. The Last Farewell has always been one of my all-time favorites. I was amazed to hear Gary come so close to the original. That's a great song to work with. It was really, really big in Europe.

Thanks Mark, for the compliments. I tried the chords Russ suggested yesterday, and they fit quite well. Thanks Russ.
