Bill all good points..... One arranger is more then enough to do many things, .... After that you need something substantial in your kb arsenal to kick ass with. And a Hammond always fits the slot...

Bought one about 5 weeks ago, and it has become my "go to" keyboard. I even used it over an arranger for the first time the other night, switching from left-hand bass to arranger bass for specific tunes. Got the 61. Wish I had gotten the 73. Using it with a Motion Sound Top box over a small Polytone bass amp for Leslie effects...not much better than the simulator.

GREAT, PORTABLE instrument. I'm going to try it with a Midjay I have (got from Don M).

The closest thing you can get to the real B3 sound currently on the market...

Build in Italy
Weight 17kg (for metal and real wood cabinet)
About 1800 euro...
Authentic hammond keyfeel
Authentic hammond sound

No clue however, if you can get them in the US...

Learn it now ... when people say to me "I always wanted to play an instrument" my standard response is "if you start tomorrow in 5 years you will be playing for 5 years if you don't start tomorrow in 5 years you will still be wishing you could play an instrument" ...

If I had the room and money I' jump on the Hammond XK5. Another step forward toward a B3 emulation.

Wow Bill, the BK9 organ doesn't do it for you?

It is considered to be the best on par with Nord..

I think these hammond clones from Crumar and some others make the Nord C2d and Roland bite the dust for orriginallity... Even the XK5... Thats something people on musicplayers forum definately seem to agree on...

The BK9 hammond is allready lots improved over the G70, according to our old friend Diki.

Not that these other oprions are bad, after all thos years playing B3 sounds on an arranger they are quite nice.. But still fall short compared to the orriginal...
