Its such a shame you guys dont have access to the KeyB Live in the USA.
The Crumar Mojo is on par with the keyb, and they are available in the US for the ultimate Organ feel... And if you want more then just organs in a duall manuall setting there is the Gsi DMC 122 with Gemini expansion board... Its the same company that builds these...
Both the keyb and the mojo are the top of the world hammond B3 clones, closer to the orriginal then the Nord as wel as current hammonds..they are not only trying to copy the sound but also the typical keyfeel...
Its great to have a choice, but I am of the oppinion that Windows XP has no place on a live stage. It worried me that years ago the first KeyB was running a custom linux system (no GUI) on a desktop pc and was relieved once that was gone. All KeyB's now run with dedicated DSP board which has their own software on. No boot up time - no risk of PC crashes.
And a big plus for me - the KeyB has that awesome dual channel, fully three dimensional rotary sim - everyone else (including the ventilator) uses 2D panning and sound flat as a result.
well, you cant compare embeded windows XP with the OS you and me used to use in the past... Its more akin to embeded linux then to the desktop Windows XP OS...
Dont know however if the latest Gsi Gemini still uses embeddded XP, i hope you get a chance to get your hands on the gemini, its a truely amazing engine... From which the VB3 is a part..
Just to give an example of windows embedded XP, Enlish Navy ships have huge gasturbines from a brand named Rolls Royce that run failproof since over a decade and are build on embeded windows XP. Same goes for Saab airplanes, the US stealth bombers, navigation equipment in the F15 eagle... Its a rockstable platform, when used and programmed by a pro... Same goes for the Crumar Mojo, its rockstable, never heared any complaints.
