Here is a very good Karma arranger mode in action. Basically playing like an arranger here except it has to connect to a computer with Karma installed.

That's not up to the manufacturers - its the job of the performers. Modify your set lists and play stuff that a younger audience will like. It does not have to be chart material - anything that people enjoy dancing to:

For example, here in the UK this short setlist (not in order) would go down well... how many play these:
Mud – Tiger Feet
Mavericks – Dance The Night Away
Beatles – Twist & Shout
Billy Ocean – Love Really Hurts Without You
Mary Wells – My Guy (only really if you have a female singer)
Los Lobos – La Bamba
Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
Donna Summer – Hot Stuff (only really if you have a female singer)
Foundations – Build Me Up Buttercup
Stevie Wonder – Superstition
Tony Christie - Amarillo
Katrina & The Waves – Walking On Sunshine
Van Morrison – Brown Eyed Girl
Kool & The Gang – Celebration
Nolans – I’m In The Mood For Dancing
Roy Orbinson – Pretty Woman
B52′s – Love Shack (makes a great encore/last song - and you don't need to be a singer)

If you don't know how to get gigs like this, offer to do a friends party free of charge and get someone to make a decent video of you - upload to youtube and email local working mens clubs with a link to your video. Next you will be doing birthdays and weddings..and hopefully it will dovetail.
