I've had issues in private clubs, or with party planners when I've had my own name advertised in big letters anywhere. (used to have my name stenciled on the speaker grills) The higher end a venue is, the less they like to advertise for anyone/thing other than themselves. This is common in the country club circuit. entertainers are hired guns, and the planners and directors get the attention (money) ... we get a check, and the applause.

I played a PSR S 970 Yesterday very impressive little keyboard
very nice layout and mp3/wav file player as well
they packed a lot of usable stuff in this unit .

The GM will continue to nitpick, he seems to be built that way.

that is what I will do if it continues Ii have offered a good solution to any issue he might have so I have done what i will do we will see no issue going somewhere else but would like to stay if possable I saw a 970 ans=d really liked the little unit

esp the audio player
some things I will need to get used too if I go that direction

if you mainly use a keyboard for backing tracks for your piano playing, couldn't you put your keyboard next to you rather than on top of the piano, might be more of a visual issue with him rather than anything against keyboards.

Could you put your backing tracks on a laptop as audio files?

For the songs that you do play the keyboard, feature it as an instrument in it's own right, ( instead of an add on to the piano) feature it the same as you would guitar playing or the piano?

Could be worth finding out if the issue is the keyboard itself , OR the fact that it sits on top of the piano.

( hubby would have throttled me if I'd sat something on top of the baby grand , except for the silver candelabra. ( seriously he bought a candelabra for it. Haha )

For me as an audience member, be a case of wow, this guy plays 3 instruments and sings.
