I've got a Gator soft case for my 4X. The soft case isn't giving my 4X the protection I need.

I know it will be heavier, but im looking for a rigid case for my 4X.

I'm looking at both molded and rigid.

My 4X is going out 60 or more times a year, I need better protection for it, even if I have to carry it separately.

Suggestions?

Only 60...Why do you need more protection?
Gator soft case with inner padded straps is more then enough...imo.

Is your 4x 61 or 76? I have a Ketron case that would work great if it fits.

guitpic, do you have the gator that weighs 26 lbs? Here's my post to you a short while back showing where you can get a custom built case for your Korg.

In my case I have a Tyros 4 and it requires a little bigger case than what you need. My hard shell case weighs only 20 lbs with wheels attached.

Case showed up today. Fits the 4X very nice and snug fit. Still room for cables. Like having the wheels but the case is not all that heavy.

Tx Don for your offer but I wanted a case with wheels.

Take care all.

SKB case is ok to a point,.... but always disliked the smoothness outside making it slide all over when stacked on R&R kart etc,...no outside pockets either.Case wheels are unnecessary for me when using the R&R kart.

enjoy it

Series 1 looks like a nice bag.

I just didn't feel comfortable transporting my PA 4X in a soft bag. I see my SKB(got a good deal on it) as insurance for a $4,000 keyboard.

smile

Your using a R&R kart on gigs to transport gear? With the SKB I found myself stacking the KB with a bungee to the R&R vertically due to the sliding problems,..

Or get the extra shelf, as I did. It installs in 30 seconds.

Sliding problems???

Not with this case...take a look at how it's built.

Yes the plastic molded smoothness makes it slide around when stacked flat without being bunged on the kart..
