You are right about the clipping. I should be more careful when recording. I know it's no excuse but I'm more of a live performer so I didn't pay too much attention when recording. Thanks for the tip anyway.
About the arranger program. I've been a professional musician for years and I've never been 100% happy with what I was using so I finally decided to learn to program and write my own software. I've been using it live for two years now and I'm really happy with it so soon I will be sharing it with whoever would like to try it.
I don't know where to start so here are some of the the pros:
Cross platform (windows and mac).
It will be free.
Simple to use.
No mouse needed.
Straight forward style creation on any midi sequencer.
Shows lyrics or notes.
Also plays midifiles with some cool features for live performance.
Up to 32 patterns per style.
And of course some of the cons:
Very basic, maybe too basic.
Proprietary format so it's not compatible with any existing styles (yamaha, roland, etc...).
Currently it only recognizes Maj, m, 7, m7, 7Maj, aug and dim chords.
Still some small bugs.
I could go on and on but I don't want to hijack your thread so I'll stop here. You can find out more at my twitter account @softarranger if you like and I will also be posting some info here on the forums if people are interested.
