The idea, a few trips around town (and a few bucks) were mine, but the REAL essence of all this is THE MESSAGE...a heartfelt, honest and sincere expression of what many feel. Expressed as only my favorite "ole scribe" around here, Don Mason, could.
Nigel's eager participation and assistance in the middle of all the work he was doing on the site is proof of a man of real sincerity and substance; someone we ALL should be proud to be associated with. His personal note to you, included with the plaque was the work of a true renaissance man.

Thanks again everyone for those kind words. My hope is to get myself in much better physical condition so I can sail south again next fall and visit with many of you in person again, and meet with those that I have not met.
All the best,
Gary
