I would say I am more of an affable musician.

I would consider myself a musical entertainer after 50 yrs. of supporting myself in the industry.
I would put an emphasis on musical since I am not a big talker on stage. I depend on keeping the dance music coming without breaks (little dead air time).

By the way, Donny, I just noticed you moved from Maui 5s to Maui 28s. Any particular reason? You always loved the 5s.

Just curious, Allen

Maui5s did me well... But sometimes when I had to take it up a notch on the bigger jobs I needed the stinger sub...... But now with the Maui 28s OMG!!! They sound Amazing and much more powerful with out having to lug a sub! Check them out!

1000W RMS vs 400W RMS surprised
Are they heavy? Easy to transport?
I wonder how they compare to the JBL Eon ONE since they have almost the same wattage: 380W vs 400W
I would think the Maui's are a lot louder...
Eric

I have been a musician for many years. The jobs I had were weddings and large parties. Choice of songs, volume, tempo, and how you played were the the selling point.

Working with seniors here in Florida is a different story. First entertainer then musician; if you can do both you are successful.

My entertainer abilities have increased since Eddie has taken me under his wing.

John, Eddie is a great entertainer, and from my experience, I can honestly say you have been tutored by the best in the business.

Good luck,

The Mauii 28 looks like a good choice.

Gotta say I've been very impressed with the JBL Eon One

This will get into an age old argument...

With the stereo inputs of the JBL, I use one unit. I've listened to the output of the JBL and my dual Bose Compacts. To my ears, in the venues I do, my JBL sounds every bit as good(better on the bass end) than my dual Compacts in stereo.

My JBL is closer to the output of the Bose L1 1S with a B1 sub...I've compared side by side.

By the way when I say venues that I do, we're talking 100 folks or less; 99% of the time dining room size or less

Question
Are you pluggin into channel 3/4.? When I tested the Jbl I just ran a mono line to channel one but had to put it on the mic seting to get any volume. I forgot to try
channels 3/4
Glad your liking it. Looking for an excuse to get two.

Bill,

Yes, I am using the stereo channel input.

Plenty of volume.
