I wish Ketron the very best. I hope they continue to make great instruments and live long and prosper, BUT how many times have they introduced a new instrument then had multiple failures, delayed updates, broken promises, etc., before finally, generally after a year or so, getting it in some sort of condition that is reliable enough for use on an actual job.
Sorry, I've learned my lesson, after multiple tries!
I wasted more than six months trying to get the last one in workable order and never did. I took about a $600. hit and was glad to get out of it that cheaply. No more unless I see some radical changes in the way they operate. Well, probably not even then because I love what I have now.
I do encourage everyone to buy one of these, do the field testing that should have been done by Ketron, and help them get it operational! smile I need something that will work every time I turn it on, and continue to work until I turn it off, and do pretty much what the specs say it should.
AJ is a great asset, but there isn't enough of him.
I truly hope I'm wrong about them this time!

Great ideas...terrible follow-thru...questionable support...
unreliable staff...non-existent business ethics.

A damn shame. It's my favorite brand. I wouldn't touch another one.

More SD9 Pro demos will be released shortly. There is just so much to cover in so little time.

Each of these arranger manufacturer companies have produced products with strengths and weaknesses. It wasn't too long ago when one renown manufacturer had to have LED boards switched out entirely from a whole batch of units in production, or still has glitches in the functioning of intros and fills or .... (more discussed on other forums related to such).

As instruments rely more and more on computers and software and are designed to satisfy more and more customers, I do believe all of them need to invest more in testing and product support, especially in the USA where the potential of Arranger keyboards still pales in comparison to equivalent workstations because folks just don't know of the full potential of Arrangers.

In the meantime, purchase and play instruments that fill your current needs and help you bring satisfaction to your audience. The happier you are with your instrument, the better your audience will appreciate your performance (not your instrument as has been noted here already), although musicians within your audience will notice your instrument.

Thanks

I can't hear any difference in this and SD7. The location of the wheels would be a deal-breaker for me, same as Audya. I prefer the joystick.
Here is a live bit I did on SD7:

I would like to know if the problems are dependent on the build, or vers., or is it quality control on a particular run. When I bought my Audya, I read about problems mostly with the Audya 4 module, but my Audya 76 has been great all this time.
