As,for DB's their new line only 1 higher than the older models.
I think for bigger venues just adding more speakers would increase coverage and sound quality better, than maxing out one or two speakers. More speaker area,to move more air.

might be good as a pair of tops but you will need subs also...

Thats the way to do it if you don't mind moving lots of gear. Put them over some subs . Lots of guys looking for shortcuts and just bringing the minimal amount of gear for gigs but to do it right you need more speakers ( subs )

Actually now would be a nice time to get original K's which are not that bad.

Nope, just twice, but you knew that already. Your cubes have lots of "ooomph", but the bass is tighter in my K10s. The horn is also more efficient, and has a wider coverage in the QSC.

The QSC K.2 will be the replacement of the now called Legacy K Series. They only dropped by $100 now. And I can see that number dropping more in the future to compete with other speaker lines. Still a great speaker!

This means that the KW models will have an upgrade soon... I predict.

The K8.2 will shine as a compact monitor speaker! Or as a 105° coverage pattern top speaker with a sub to fill out the 100 hz and below for bass and kick. A great system as a 2.1 configuration. For around $2600, this would be a more sold system than the Bose L2. Weight would be an issue at 90 lbs on the sub and 27 lbs each on the K8.2... but it would sound bigger than it would look.

SPL is what matters when it comes to a speaker, not wattage, a 350 watt speaker can play just as loud as a 1000 watt, it depends on efficiency of the speaker.

Also the sound quality, and natural eq curve of the speaker is the other major quality that has to be in the mix
