While 2016 was a year where i moved away from VST's. Getting Spectrasonics Keyscape as my christmass present made 2017 a year of moving back to VST's

The shear power and beaty of the various keyboard instruments in Keyscape is incredible, espescially when used in combination with Omnisphere.

Check out the 4 video's in this topic on Keyszone.

Is it possible to just install one or 2 piano sounds, and not the 72GB ? I don't want to loose my SSD for only 2 sounds smile

There is 2 options a small set of 32 GB with the essential piano sounds and the full set of 72GB..

But if you want to make optimal use of the full combo with omnisphere 2, you will need to add all samples..

You should also be able to finstune the samples you keep on your hard drive, tough cant find that option right now

There is a difference between need and want...

To make my PA4x the perfect key that sattisfies my needs, all that needs to be done is add an 88 key weighted (about 85 grams) high quallity keybed with aftertouch..

to sattisfy my wants.... its far off... I created a list of ten basic things i want to see in my perfect keyboard..

http://keyszone.boards.net/thread/280/search-perfect-fit

As you can see... nothing comes close to my list... and yet i only mapped keyboards with which i could be happy ...

In the end the answer is simple... we dont need it... atleast not when we dont own a recording studio....

The question is, do we want it?
Thats a question anyone can only answer for himself..

Do i want it?
Yes, i own it..and am very happy with it..

No the question is do you want it? I guess not, but thats a guess, you only can answer that for yourself.

Its not an 88 key piano keybed...
as a synth keybed, its near to the best i have ever played

I am Still looking for that single all in one 88 key instrument, as i have been doing for like 10 years now?

Bachus, I know that you play Pianoteq. How do you compare the two? I've been playing the demo version of Pianoteq, and it is such a fun instrument to play as it responds to all my midi contgrollers so well. I think I read something to the effect that Pianoteq has 127 layers of velocity.

Pianoteq is not an exact replica of an excisting instrument... however, playing it feels more realistic then any sampled piano.. because of how the sound reacts to your actions..

The C7 of spectrasonics sounds exactly like the Orriginal.. doesnt give the feeling however of pianoteq.. however, where it shines is the power to adapt the sound... on top of that the digital piano's of spectrasonics are what makes the package even more formidable... spectrasonics is about adapting and creating a sound..

Pianoteq is about realisme and feel when playing an acoustic piano.. there are no layers at all.. its more like a naturall flow.. same goes for the rolnd V-piano sounds as its essentially the same technollogy...

In a recording spectrasonics will sound better...

Dnj , keyscape is fantastic. the pianos (acoustics and electric) are better then in my motif or nord electro 4 and by far from my pa900 korg connected to roland r 700 .
and you have extraordinery exceptional sounds of strange and very interesting pianos .
