And, do you really think all that amounts to anything when the person on stage cannot perform? C'mon Fran, most OMB entertainers rarely use pads, and when they do they usually use one or two at most. Samplimg - shampling! Doesn't amount to a hill of beans to the audiences. Keep in mind that that you used the G-800 and G-70 very successfully for decades and I seriously doubt that YOUR audiences noticed any difference between the two keyboards when you updated. Our audiences just wish to be entertained, mostly by a good SINGER. Those attractive gals and a young guy that were in front of you on stage were the primary reason those audiences were there - NOT to see and hear Fran play the keyboard. Those ladies and that guy did a great job singing those songs, while Fran tickled the keys along with a lot of SMF files behind them. Donny, UD and DomM all have a great entertainment skills and vocal skills, which is why their audiences are there night after night. As I have said in the past, the best attribute of an arranger keyboard is the vocal processor. As you have heard, at least I hope you listened, to an incredible performance a few days ago by one of our members using nothing more than a relatively low end PSR-S750. Now, just imagine that song with some incredible vocals. As DNJ usually says, NUFF SAID! Gary

Fran, I absolutely understand what you are talking about, but the topic was about whether or not Donny should swap keyboards. IMO, from his past history, no, it makes no sense at all. Yes, you use those features, and so do I, but 99 percent of the players will never use them, and some never open the instruction manual to determine what features are available.
