VST's in my opinion work best in combination with hardware...
If you go Varranger, you might miss the physical layout and workflow..
However having a synth workstation, like the Fa series of Roland..
Or a performance instrument like the nord stage or the Hammond sk1
Next to your arranger of choice tgis gives you lots and lots of possibilities..
Not so much for on stage, as i dont see you gigging with 2 instruments and the extra weight
But for having fun at home, such am instrument is incredible..
Or just add a laptop with a midi port to play with VST's on your arranger..
The roland FA series are nice, but a used Roland Jupiter 80 might blow you away...
