Bebop is alive and well. He is a Facebook friend.
I talked to Scott Yee a few months ago, but not since. He makes an occasional post on PSR Tutorial but not often. He sent me a Christmas card.

Anyone else heard from him recently?

Steve, it's been over a year since I've heard from Scott...last correspondence was when he sent me a fancy dust cover for my Tyros4. I believe he bought a Tyros5-61 and was quite happy with it.

Have you heard anything from Tony Hughes? My last contact with him was on Skype, and that was well over two years ago. I sent emails and tried contacting with Skype but no reply. I think he just shut everything down as far as any Forum activities (here or elsewhere)...if by some slim chance he reads this post, I hope he and wife Linda (and grand-daughter Skye) are doing well health-wise.

Last time we spoke he still had the Tyros4 and a Ketron arranger.

I'll try contacting both Tony and Scott again today...I'm glad Russel brought this up...it's too easy to let things slide.

Ian

Sad to say Bob Hendershot passed away. At the time I heard from a friend of his and sent him best wishes from the forum but passed soon after. http://www.synthzone.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/406688/RIP_Bob_Hendershot#Post406688

Ian,

Great to hear from you! I remember you and Scott were in touch on a regular basis, keep us posted if you hear from him. Hope all is well with you one day at a time!

On another note Walt Tenay an occasional poster here also passed away a few months ago.

Walt Tenay was a very good friend of mine. We became acquainted in Connecticut when we goth lived there. He bought a couple of
Wersi organs from me when I was a Wersi Rep. Walt moved to Florida
soon after and I followed a year later.

We opened a store in Port Richey and sold Wersi organs. Tune Town,
a big dealer here in Florida back then took the dealership away
from us because they had several stores and were well known.

After selling the first batch of Wersi Organs, they could not get
more and so they dropped Wersi. Walt and I did several concerts
here in Florida and sold many Wersi Organs. Lloyd

Health is good, other than a few months dealing with a pinched sciatic nerve (very, very painful) which finally responded (and is still responding ) to treatment with pregabalin.

Yep, still have the Tyros4 and playing it every day. Lately I've been experimenting more with its internal effects (echo, delay etc.) and still having fun with vocoding using a little Yamaha mono synth (no midi) plugged into the T4.

No gigging...I don't miss it...just a few private recording projects to keep myself in the game.

Yamaha's SA/SA2 sounds, superb FSX keybed, and somewhat exclusive and very awesome "Freeplay" (rubato?) styles (not to mention a great choice of jazz styles including some ballads that have cool double tempo) has kept me firmly in the Yamaha camp despite other brands having some handy features (i.e. Korg's chord sequencer) and interesting sounds/styles.

Still a Yamaha fanboy and proud of it. smile

Ian

PS...are you still using a PSR?

Hi Ian good to hear your playing and please make yourself known on SZ players miss your input. I had a KORG Pa3x, S950, S970 then a KORG Pa4x which I miss dearly, and now again a S970 of which is pretty decent with the control knobs, and with some help can sound really good...but the KORG Pa4x still has my musical heart as it's features are just simply amazing for a gigging player/singer for sure,....I'm thinking of getting another one soon too we'll see,....anyway keep in touch with us and good luck with your music!! keys
