Donny must have a pot of cash stashed away (or one hell of sugar daddy...(Don M). I'm beginning to feel like the last 970 standing.

Hard to believe I ran a jingle studio for over 30 years and bought whatever keyboard I wanted. From Emulators to Kurzweil 250's I had them all.

Now a Sheriff's Deputy...I can no longer afford to scratch the keyboard itch that once was achievable. Besides...my wife would probably pull a Lorena Bobbit on me. (I think that was her name)

I had nothing to do with it! But I will add that it may be a matter of priorities. My Expedition has 183,000 miles on it, and my bass boat is 18 years old. My arranger and p.a. system are the best available to suit my needs though! For many years arranger technology has kept moving rapidly forward, making it seem logical to keep up with the improvements every couple of years. Not so much now; they are all very good and it seems new improvements are incremental rather than sweeping.
BTW, I'm also a Sheriff's Deputy, but usually only one day a week.

Yeah, for just a year, though. After getting shot at by a 15 year old kid, I decided to find a safer way to make a living.

I hear ya Gary. It's like the Wild West down here in Fort Myers...shootings almost everyday, mostly by kids...crazy.

I've settled into working corrections in a minimum security facility. The streets are to crazy for this old hack.

I live 21 miles North in Port Charlotte. I think I will stay up here.

That's what was nice about living on the boat in Marathon Key, Florida - never heard of a shooting on a boat, and damned few crimes of any kind by cruisers living aboard their boats. The worst thing I heard of was some local from Little Havana who was stealing outboard motors and generators from the back of sailboats. He got caught by the deputy sheriff one night and had a garage filled with stuff he stole during the past month. Must have been 20 outboard motors and 60 generators in there, along with fishing tackle, marine electronics, etc...

All the best,

Gary cool

Bernie / Gary: Port Charlotte is a beautiful spot. I actually live in Cape Coral which is across the river from Fort Myers. Small town feel. Most of the nasty stuff happens in center portion of Fort Myers. Police and Sheriff's Office are finally getting things under control. These young kids shooting other kids is crazy.

Jingleman, I've been there several times and used to fish out of a place called Usepa Island, which I absolutely loved. I had friends that lived in Beverly Hills, right on the edge of a great golf course. Tony Mads would have really went nuts there - it was that nice.
