What R U playing the Pa4x thru in home or studio?

Although I have a set of LD Maui 28's which are much to big to use in the house,....
I mostly use my Senn HD 280pro Headphones or the Studio
KRK Rockit Monitors when recording using the Pa4x,....
I was just curious as to what some people are using to play their arranger KB at home just for pleasure in stereo of course...

I'm playing my Tyros5 thru KRK Rokits, 10G3. A three way system
with three separate amps. 10" Woofer provides great solid bass
and midrange goes thru 4", treble using a 1".

A speaker is a speaker and some think these can only be used for
studio work but that is a lot of hype. These KRKs sound great.Lloyd

Same headset as Donny, it makes any instrument sparkle

I recently got my hands on a logitech Z2300 speakerset, still gives a brilliant sound, i have shelved my Yamaha HS8 for now

Z2200 Logitech and Bose Compact. Depends on where my wife is sitting.

John C.
PS, I use the Bose when I am doing any type of settings.

I seldom play it at home. If I do have it home and want to learn a song or something, I generally use headphones.
If I want someone else to hear it, my Logitech Z2200 system is still set up for computer sound, so I can simply plug it in to a channel on my Yamaha mixer, which also stays set up for computer sound.
If I were to take it outside for some reason, like a party on the patio, I have two Nano 300's I could use for that, or the two Maui 5's.
If I record something I nearly always just use my Tascam DR08. I don't do multi-track recording any more.

The PAAS has a serious design flaw that makes it impractical for me, but it sounded great. At home, in your studio environment, it shouldn't be an issue.

I use the HD280 Sennheiser phones I just bought a pair based on another thread here at the forum. I'm happy with them! If not using the HD280s I'm playing the s970 or Pa4x at home I use either the Bose Compact or the Maui Ld5

I play the Korg Pa4X through a few configurations at home.

My main home sequencing/recording setup is...

Yamaha n12 mixer
Yamaha HS80 x2 in Stereo
Yamaha HS8S Subwoofer

When we prep for a gig...

Sonar (Roland) VS100 Mixer
Yamaha DXR10 x2 in Stereo
Or I get out the RCF ART 310a or 312a Pair.

As long as it sounds good to you, it's fine!!

I have the 3X and use the Senn HD650S and also a cheap (brand new in box for $79) pair of old Audix 5s. They are terrific for a small footprint.

Yeah, I've always had the impression that Steve is one of the nicest guys on this forum. Always helpful, friendly and courteous, not a brand fanatic, knowledgeable about his instrument, a good musician, doesn't dispense unsolicited advice, and most importantly, doesn't seem to have the need to lavish praise upon himself. Qualities we should all aspire to.

On the other hand, NOBODY is really that nice, so we'll have to ask someone that actually knows Steve, TonyMads. So Tony, is Steve really that nice? smile smile

I was going to start a thread about who was the nicest, sweetest guy on this forum but decided it wouldn't be fair to set up a contest where I was the surefire winner, especially since Diki is no longer here smile smile smile.

Well, I have to say that Steve is a genuinely nice guy ... Very even tempered and patient - almost to a fault ... A 'techie' in his former life, he will never hesitate to help me when I have a problem ... AND, he is responsible for me having upgraded to the Pro12 tablet ... Thanks again, Steve ...

John C, Chas, Gary, Tony, Donny. Many thanks for your kind words, but careful I may get a head too big to walk in the door. cool

I’ve made some good friends here and have been fortunate enough to meet some of you. Tony has become a close friend and musically he’s been a help to me in the past, great too having him live just a 20 minute drive away. I’ve always got good advice from the Gary and Donny. Chas I appreciate your comments, thank you sir.

John C. Gotta share this story with the group, at one time John was going to buy a PSR keyboard from me at the last minute something came up and he had to pass on buying. Since he couldn’t buy the board he sent me a customer, who was a friend of his and was in the market for a PSR 910. Can’t beat the quality people here.

Tony, I hear you about patience almost to a fault. LOL!!!
