It's 4am, a bunch of young people just left my room, they were in panic mode, apparently. My heart is acting up, beating very slowly and blood pressure sky high. not looking good right now. I will keep you updated when possible.
Gary

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I just got home from the hospital, still have another week of recovery and taking antibiotics, and last night was the really scary part. The docs overloaded me with IV fluids, which I detected about halfway through yesterday and told them to stop drowning my system with fluids. Despite this, they continued to pour fluids into me, thus causing my blood pressure to sky rocket to nearly 200/110. The overload taxed my heart to the point to where my pulse fell to a dangerously low level of 29 beats per minute. This occurred about 4 a.m., the nursing staff panicked, and a dozen cuties showed up around my bed and alarms were going off down the hall at the nursing station like crazy. They even brought in a defbrillator - just in case, though on my chart, had they bothered to read it, it clearly stated I was a NO CODE - NO RESUSCITATION patient per my advance directive. They stopped the fluids, gave me some stimulant medications, and by about 11 a.m. I was pretty much out of trouble. The docs came in to see me about 11:30 and said I could be discharged today. The food was abominable, the beds were like sleeping on a bed of broken bricks with a sheet over them, and I think if they would not have given me the OK to leave today, I would have checked myself out. I have a habit of doing that, especially at this brand new hospital. Sure feels good to be home, Thanks again, Gary

Jerry, unfortunately, it ain't in the cards for me. Pulmonary fibrosis caused by Asbestosis is terminal. Of course, some folks will tell you life is terminal as well. Thanks Jerry, Gary

Thanks Don, the day was spent mostly motoring around the Chesapeake's upper reaches, mainly chillin out and watching American (bald) eagles swooping down from the nearby hillsides and catching big fish in their talons. There was no wind for sailing. The eagles were often just a few yards from the boat when the caught their fish and carried them back to their nests on top of the ridges. Some of the nests are absolutely huge, weighing up to 15,000 pounds. From what the park rangers tell me, the nests are used and added to every year until the weight causes the tree to topple under the excessive load. Here is something I get to see every day on my way to the boat, which is docked just 6 miles downriver from Conowingo Dam. https://vimeo.com/152926627 It's a pretty amazing sight to watch unfold, especially when the birds are just a few yards away.
