If you look at most of the latest Yamaha keyboards they focus on specific types of sound production, (Rather than covering all areas like the Motif) with all the sundry items (DAW etc.) available in Apps for use on an iPad. (This also applied in a limited way to the T5 and no doubt will be further adopted in its replacement) The days of having everything all in one are disappearing, (Roland focused on specific types of instruments some time ago) instead you just get the specific type of instrument you want, (Which is what a lot of musicians want rather than paying extra for something they are never going to use) and if you decide to expand at a later date you just get the App.
Times are a changing, and manufactures have to adapt.
