Met him in Bakersfield doing a show with the Browns, Buck Owens and others, in early 1963. He had had a national, non-country hit called "Turn Around, Look At Me" in 1962, and I was amaised that he could do so much. So many styles. We had a beer.
Years later (about 5 years, to be exact), he was singing all those Jimmy Web songs, on TV. What a talent.
And, what an elegant spokesman for Alzheimers disease.
He played so well, I really got into his songs. "Dreams of an Everyday Housewife" was one of my real favorites.
I still play 4-5 of his tunes a week in the dining rooms.
All the best to his family.
Russ

Dave, that rendition of Adele's was terrible, IMO. Tracy, loved the song, and it's the very first time I heard it. Don, never heard Roy's rendition, and would love to hear you perform that song - I know you would do a fantastic job with it. All the best, Gary
