Just thought I'd share our video of "I will Survive" played in a salsa style. The group is all family- my wife on lead vocals, 13 year daughter on violin, 15 year niece on background vocals, brother in law on sax, and nephew on congas, another nephew filmed and edited the video. We recorded the audio directly from the mixer to a little Zoom recorder and tried to sync the audio to the video. I was playing in auto accompaniment mode on the Ketron Audya 5. Hope you enjoy our humble effort. Thanks for listening!

Ditto. Arrangers sound great when properly integrated with other instruments. Not even a hint of 'Arranger cheese' in that performance. Great job.

Thanks Tony! I'm so proud of my family and the young ones are surpassing us which makes us feel good. My daughter has been awarded a scholarship to study violin with the principal violinist of Dallas Symphony and she is the concert master of a youth orchestra. I take her to some of my senior gigs and she can any tune that I play completely by ear. My niece is in high school and is already taking college classes and she wants to be a bilingual education teacher. They are both very good kids and they really amaze us!

Thanks Gary. I'll tell my nephew that you enjoyed the production. He dreams of working in the video production field and studies his craft very seriously. This was his first live music video. Hopefully he'll do some more with us.

Thanks Chas. I absolutely love playing with other players. They all come up with all sorts of ideas that I'd never come up on my own. They inspire me!

Outstanding version Paul,...very well done by you & your lovely wife singing and family playing, excellent quality video recording also...as you know when we talked about how many Salsa & Bachata versions of many American songs are coming to market every day it's becoming a very nice crossover, by artists like Prince Royce, Lucy Grau, Leslie Grace, Hector Levoe, etc,...Thanx for sharing your work hope to see more ..

clap

Thank you Donny and you're absolutely right about English language/Latin crossover songs. And that's the beauty of the arranger
keyboard- it allows us to try out our songs in all sorts of styles.

Thank you Tony, we try our best. Just about everyday we're take the girls to some sort lesson, rehearsal, recitals, dance classes, sports practice, church groups, and contacting their teachers checking up on their progress, and just talking with them.

That was great!! Really enjoyed the performance.

The coordinating outfits are a real plus. Shows you are a professional 1st class group.

Thanks Jerry. I know matching outfits are kinda old fashioned or cheesy among American
bands but it's still big among a lot of Latin acts.
