My guess is 34 lbs. Controls will fit both 61 and 76. Of Course!

Cha Cha, Ballads, Foxtrots, Standards, Country, etc, etc, ....?

I was thinking along the lines of Dnj’s question. I might consider upgrading, if the Genos is nothing more than many new versions of the same old styles, that sound much better than anything previous. I’ll forgo any fancy knobs, sliders, touch screen, and all that stuff. All I need are great styles and sound.

75 keys is a happy medium fopr all...
if you want 61 you'll have to wait for the MOTL Mini Genos 980 wink

I think you are correct and the trend Yamaha might follow. I prefer the 61 note version arranger, but the Genos-76 is shorter in length than the Tyros 5-76, and perhaps close to the same weight. Features and price will help me decide.

Anyway, in regards to the Genos preset styles. The style categories changed somewhat over the Tyros 5 version, some combined or more emphasis on changing trends. Pop, Rock (use to be combined), RetroPop (new), Oldie (now given own category), Dance (no doubt more attention given here), R&B, Entertainer, Country, Jazz (Swing gone, but obviously combined in other categories), Easy Listening (new), Latin, Ballroom, Movie&Show, Classic&Events (new, but World gone), and Trad&Folk.

I would say stop thinking OLD School styles etc, etc,
....and get ready for a sharp learning curve with Genos...
hope they have thought ahead and made some really good instructional videos to help new buyers
the time for change is now. get ready to become an
Arranger KB/DJ artist very soon with this new technology. cool2
