It's not going to be difficult at all. For the people that mostly play styles without modifying them, or using just factory sounds it is going to be pretty much the same as using any Tyros or Korg arranger. Now we have to see how deep the editing features will be on Genos. Hopefully much more than Tyros. On Tyros it was retarded anyway. But, we will see soon enough.

For 3 years ya'll been waiting for some news from Yammy, any news on this instrument....You guys FINALLY have info & everyone is whining BOTH ways....It's too complicated, it doesn't do this, it doesn't do that. They changed this, they changed that.

You want new stuff......Guess what...IT WILL BE NEW!!!!!

These threads are hilarious....

Yeah but they're still better than my organ-playing buddies that want each newer clonewheel to sound ever closer to something that came out in 1939 smile smile.

I already pre-ordered mine, I don’t care what it cost I just have to have the latest and greatest. I don’t care whether it’s old stuff repackaged. Life is too short

Donny will buy it, DonM might too. Fran will buy it if you rename it the ROLAND Bridge, heck, I might even buy it if you list it under SDOTD smile smile.

I'll tell you one thing. The ridiculous prices for these new boards has to be rationialzed to a more reasonable level. If companies want new players in the market, these boards I think are about 2k over where they need to be to create long term profits. If Yamaha would do the right thing, based on Montage 76 around $4300 aud would be the price. Will wait and see.

Tyros5 76 retails at over 5k...
$5,499.99 · ProAudioStar.com
$5,499.99 · AmericanMusical.com
$5,499.99 · Reverb.com
$5,499.99 · Sam Ash
so why shouldn't the newer Genos be at least that
and possibly more too?

Gen = abbreviation for Genesis.
Definition: the origin or coming into existence of something

OS = Operating system

Gen OS or Genos = New (arranger ) operating system
