I didn't like a lot of things on my Yamahas, or my Korgs,or my Ketron arrangers but I made work arounds and made them sound good for my needs...just as I'm doing with the EA7....

Nice recording. Great vocal, style fits well. The EA7 is a great value for certain. I'm so glad you didn't do the "I know I know I Know..." stuff. Only Bill Withers can do that without sounding silly and boring.
Hey. I used to have T5, but there were too many restrictions as with all Yamahas for editing. Don’t get me wrong. It was a great keyboard , but as good as it should have been considering the money it costs. I sold it long time ago.

Seems like Donny does his every couple of weeks ...
Just pullin' your chain paesano ... figured I'd do it before someone else did
Tony you inspired me ......here is a short demo recording of what I'm talking about with this song Aint No Sunshine, maybe some day I can really get into it and record the whole song!......enjoy
I did this about 7-8 yrs ago when I first got my PA1x pro and tyros2. That totally phony sax is from the pa1x and the guitar is from the Tyros2. Manual bass and piano from Fantom G7 and organ from my old C1. I just heard this funky beat from my Alesis drum kit (I think) and started playing to it (and then adding to it). I DO remember losing track of the "I know, I know's" and just saying 'ahh screw it' . I don't even know if those three chords were right since I was just winging it from memory. Just posted it for variety, definitely nothing I'm proud of .

Chas very KOOl ..No need for excuses, nice groove also, I really enjoyed listening to it Thanx for sharing that's 7 years ago?....why not rerecord it with some of your new gear?..
Sadly yes. Through a vocal processor of course, probably my old Roland VP550 (I now use the VP770). I think I'll take Donny's advice and do it again with my aging geezer buddies on guitar and sax (and of course my beloved KeyB organ). I'll probably try to find a suitable 'live' drum track to play to. BTW, we just recorded a nice 'straight ahead' version of 'JUST FRIENDS'. I may post it after I clean up the recording a bit.

Chas, nothing wrong with you vocal. For me, it’s my second ever song that ever sang in English. Actually I never played these songs before. Couple oglf times while figuring the cords before hitting record button. The rest is from my head in real time.

Thanks Jingleman, but I'm not very good at emulating other instruments (no matter how good they sound). I have a really good sax man that I'm jamming with and I intend to redo it with him and my guitar player. In fact, I will probably take a portable digital (field) recorder up to my living room to get an acoustic piano track for it. I like arrangers but usually can't find a style that reflects what I want to do. I'm probably just to impatient to do a thorough search; it just seems easier to just play EXACTLY what you want; but that's just me. Different strokes.....
