Got a New Mic from Don Mason EV PL84 so with nothing to do today as Gary would say "I fired up" the Roland EA7, picked out a style "DUBLIN ROCK" and pushed Record and played a short demo version of Mustang Sally one shot, no editing at all just to get a feel for the Mic,.... to be continued. enjoy.
Sounds good, Donny ... I thought the vocal could be more 'up front', ... I really liked the style ... keep it comin' ...
Yes of course Tony thanx...like I said just a quick one shot record with more time levels will be adjusted to suit,...the EV Pl84 is a condenser mic and I'm just getting used to it.
John thanx each day I learn a little more with the EA7...I can hear Fran in my head saying,.... "give it time and stick with it, it WILL amaze you" and he's been right.
Sounds great Donny, sounds really a live band. How did you powered the EV PL84, from the E-A7?
Hi Jim to use a condenser mic with the EA7 I bought a small Rolls Mic Power I PB23 unit works great when you need Phantom power and don't want to use a mixer and go directly into the KB,...

Mic sounds great, as does the EA7. Balance is pretty good; mic may be a WEE bit low, but not much if any. I am enjoying the AKG C520 headset mic. Win-Win trade! I had two of the PL84's. NY Eve I used it half the night and the headset mic the other half. It's hard to tell much difference on the recordings.
