I hope to see the PSR-970 replacement...then I can decide to do Genos or IT????? Of course I know the Genos will still be much more and more likely a better keybed...but,,,,I want to see what the new PSR is before deciding how much to spend...
Will be anxiously waiting to see if it does appear.

So its basically an S970 with a "plus" button added into the style and sound panels for easy access to expansion voices that have been included... Oh and Half bar fill-in and Mono legato function...LAME! we waited 3 years for this??

Or they want you to buy a Genos $$$$$.... Yamaha doesn't want to shoot themselves in the foot...
Bachus, well, TommyF did provide links to an official Yamaha's page above, so, I guess, no fakes this time. By the way, I believe that Yamaha used a term "ultimate PSR" for earlier models, so they just keep the pattern.

Thanks mate, i definately missed those links... Looks legimate indeed
Altough just a minor update as far as i can see But then the 970 allready has many of the new Genos features..
Maybe this new model will make people decide to buy the Genos Instead of longer wayting for a PSR that would be truely a Tyros/Genos offspring I personally didnt expect to see new PSR instruments this year

Well if you want 76 keys it's a Genos, if you want 61 it's a PSR , cuts down choices a bit. Oldden
Thats really thumbing down the genos technology alot comparing them equal 61/76...there has to be much more then that inside..? question is why would someone buy a S975 vs a S970?
No, I'm not saying they are equal, or even close, it's just that if you want 76 keys then it's a Genos. I think that we have to make a choice. Is the Genos worth a Lot more money. I don't think there is a right or wrong, it's what is best for us personally. I have a PSR which has served me we'll and I have a Genos on order somewhere between the UK and China. I hope. Oldden
Seems Roland is best at following the changes in our society. Because there is a reason why Roland is no longer making workstations and top end Arrangers. Even the former Roland Europe (Decibell), which was known for their arrangers never created an arranger so far.

An interesting point. Indeed, the former employees of Roland Europe at Dexibell who produced great arrangers such as the VA7, G70, or E60 hasn't introduced any arranger. I know this sounds odd in terms of "following the changes in our society" as you mentioned, but there's a possibility that they might build digital accordions.

Yes, this could be interesting. However, the wattage mentioned is peak power, no reliable data. I'd wait what the first customers' reviews say... If it is really powerful, with 5.3 kilograms it sounds very appealing.
